Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day - August 2013

After several months of never quite getting the timing right due to several factors, I am finally participating in Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day for the first time. I guess this makes me a veteran garden blogger now. Hehe.

This hardy compact cattleya blooms several times a year. More spikes are developing. It puts on quite a show.

The smallish flowers fade into a lighter pink as they age.

Yellow lantana

Phalaenopsis

To see more of what is blooming in other gardens around the world please visit Carol at May Dreams Garden. Happy gardening!

Hi!
Nice that you join the GBBD! I love your orchids - I am never lucky with them or they with me. :) So I have to watch them on your site.
Best wishes

Hi good to see you here. I guess you have many tropical plants there too, so you can post many photos and many plants for GBBD. That catleya is growing so healthy and beautifully.

Such colorful photos! I love them. I have seen most of them here in NZ but didn't know what they are called.

beautiful lotus. My mum used to raise them very successfully. They are too fussy for me.

Beautiful orchid shots, thanks for sharing. I wish I could grow such lovely flowers. I love lantana from my childhood. It's strange how so many yellow flower fade to pink, like roses.
